In 2016, 2 days on Mount Bierstadt, but topped out around 12800 ft, due to poor weather conditions & equipment failure. Also, 2 days on the Barr Trail of Pikes Peak, but knee to waist high snow forced a retreat around 10500 ft. Lastly, reached 13800 ft on Grays Peak, but returned due to sun poisoning & dehydration issues. In 2017, 2 separate attempts at Mount Sherman, but foot blisters & a time constraint issue forced a retreat at 13000 ft. Seven days later, hurricane force winds, poor visibility and snow drifts forced another retreat again at 13000 ft next to the Hilltop Mine. On 1/12/18, high winds & poor visibility forced a retreat on Missouri Mountain at about 12500 ft. Approx. 9 hours on the trail, but no summit. On 10/19/18, my buddy & I attempted Mt. Isolation in NH, but elected to turn back due to poor visibility, subzero wind chills and hurricane force winds.
